So many trade shows struggle to generate interest in their stands. Especially when the product is as nondescript as a 'blood analyser' and the to make things even more difficult at the Palais de Congres, the rules say you can't distribute freebies.
Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (OCD) have such a product, it's a boring box, an incredibly clever and efficient box but it's just a box to look at. So it was the task of 2Heads (http://www.2heads.tv/) their creative agency's, to overcome that problem which they did by designing a fantastic looking stand and hiring me, as an iPad caricaturist linked to a portrait mounted screen, to attract the delegates.
We had a 40" inch screen mounted portrait to utilise the whole screen area and allow the visitors to watch me drawing live. In addition to that we printed out each picture in full colour. Visitors could chose from a range of pre -designed template backgrounds, that included the company logo, the boring box, or the Ortho Truck (below), the Eiffel Tower or Big Ben.
Not only does this provide the visitors with a unique gift to take away with them but it gives the client around 8 minutes to chat leisurely with the visitor whilst they're sitting for me.
