It's not often a Giggle of cartoonists form but on the rare occasion that they do it's worth a photo so apologies for the vanity shot. The dream team were hired by the insurance company Vitality to complement their conference and provide a bit of humour with quick caricatures of the attendees and professional assistance to their graphic notetaking.
We entertained the attendees during their meal breaks by drawing their caricatures as a keepsake to mark the occasion.
However the area we can really assist with at conferences is helping to translate ideas into images. It's been long proven that engagement mushrooms in meetings when people are listened to and acknowledged by recording their ideas in a graphic manner. Each graphic notetaker was assigned two groups each, and two flip charts one for each group. We had to move between the groups and help to visualise the metaphors they had chosen to represent what they chose as the key elements from the conference.
We were given five minutes to create two graphics. Not a lot of time even by our standards but we did have the luxury of being guided by our groups.
