University professors, CEO's, Managing Directors, Teachers, Astronauts, they're all clever people and like most clever people usually have accumulated most of, if not all of, the things they want by the time they retire or move on to another job. Stands to reason therefore that you have to buy them something unique, something bespoke, something that isn't instantaneously judged only by it's cost. An original piece of art fulfils that criteria but one persons idea of great art is another's garbage. The solution is a caricature painting. Just list the things you'd like to included in the picture, dig out some reference photos and let the caricaturist compile the picture. Much easier than wracking your brains to come up with that elusive shop bought gift. Now who's a clever person?
