It was the hottest few days of the year so not a great time to be attending a conference at a venue, The Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel and Country Club
, that was lacking in air conditioning. To be fair
parts of it were blessed with air-con and it was an extraordinary day, some 37c in places. The delegates had spent the last few days debating their conference theme of 'Disrupt' and I was there to do just that and get in amongst them drawing full colour caricatures on the iPad. Having entertainment in the form of an iPad caricaturist at such a heavy work orientated conference provides some much needed light relief and became a badge of honour.
The delegates were suffering terribly with the heat and eagerly sort me out to take a break away from the monumental effort required to carry out their business. The pictures were emailed to each delegate as they were produced so no need to carry them around all day and risk losing or damaging them, another great advantage of iPad caricatures.
